Inter took in a gate receipt of just under €6 million for yesterday evening’s Milan derby at the San Siro, which is the second-highest earning from a single match in the history of Serie A.

This according to Italian news outlet FCInterNews, who report that the Nerazzurri earned a total of €5,832,142 from the gate receipt for a match that had 75,584 spectators in attendance as they beat city rivals AC Milan.

The record for the highest ever gate receipt from a Serie A match remains a clash between Inter and Juventus at the San Siro in October of 2019, which saw the Nerazzurri take in around €6.5 million.

Yesterday’s derby clash was still some way away from reaching that high, but among all other Serie A matches it stands alone.

Apart from the satisfaction of another emphatic win over city rivals the Rossoneri on the pitch, the Nerazzurri will also be pleased with the significant gate receipt taken in.
