AC Milan Midfielder Rade Krunic: “Loss To Inter Milan Derby Weighs Heavily On Us, A Big Blow To Morale”
AC Milan midfielder Rade Krunic makes no secret of the fact that defeat in Sunday’s derby clash with Inter has come as a big blow to his team.
Speaking to Italian broadcaster SportMediaset, via FCInterNews, the 29-year-old admitted that the morale within the Rossoneri team will have to recover following the second loss to their city rivals within the space of less than three weeks.
On paper, Sunday’s 1-0 loss to Inter was hardly the worst result that the Rossoneri have suffered in recent matches, as they have also been turned over 4-0 by Lazio and 5-2 by Sassuolo, in addition to 3-0 by the Nerazzurri in the Supercoppa Italiana last month.
However, the 1-0 scoreline only scratched the surface of what was, in truth, an unusually one-sided derby.
Milan have capped off what has been one of their most miserable runs of form in several seasons with a hapless display in the derby, and midfielder Krunic is well aware that things will have to change.
“It’s a result that weighs on us a lot,” the Bosnian said.
“We were hoping that it could come at the right time to turn things around, but now we’ll have to get our morale back in view of the matches to come,” he added.
