Spanish giants Real Madrid are thinking about a move to sign Inter wingback Denzel Dumfries in the summer as a replacement for Dani Carvajal.

This according to Spanish news outlet Fichajes, via L’Interista, who report that Los Blancos coach Carlo Ancelotti has asked his club to sign a new right-back, and that Dumfries would be among the names on their list.

There is no shortage of transfer interest in Dumfries, with the former PSV wingback a real candidate for a sale from Inter during the summer transfer window.

A number of teams in the Premier League have already shown an interest in the 25-year-old Dutchman, but according to Fichajes, Real could be ready to join the English clubs in pursuing the Nerazzurri wingback.

The Spanish outlet report that coach Ancelotti feels that there is a need for a reinforcement on the right side of the defense as he no longer views Carvajal as reliable.

According to Fichajes, Real would be ready to try and bring Dumfries to the Spanish capital.
