Inter are very keen on trying to sign Bournemouth goalkeeper Neto on a free transfer to back up Andre Onana in goal for next season.
This according to Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews, who report that the Nerazzurri have made the Brazilian former Fiorentina, Juventus, Valencia, and Barcelona keeper their main target to back up Onana with Samir Handanovic expected to leave in the summer.
Handanovic is likely to leave Inter at the end of the summer rather than extending his contract with the club past the end of June.
Accordingly, the Nerazzurri will need to sign a replacement, with the objective being to find a player capable of deputizing for Onana now that the Cameroonian has become the first-choice keeper.
Neto is very much a player who the Nerazzurri directors are a fan of, as the 34-year-old’s experience would make him an ideal player to play behind Onana, and reliable enough to fill in when called upon.
