Inter defender Milan Skriniar will be looking to emulate his former Nerazzurri teammate Ivan Perisic by ending his time at the club on a positive note with his performances over the final few months of his contract.

This is highlighted in today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInter1908, who argue that the Slovakian passed the first of many tests in this respect with his assured performance against AC Milan in the derby on Sunday.

Skriniar is set to leave Inter on a free transfer at the end of the current season, and in doing so he will follow in the footsteps of former Nerazzurri wingback Perisic who left at the end of last season.

In the case of Perisic, it could hardly be said that the Croat’s performances faltered under the distraction of his imminent departure, however.

On the contrary, the wingback was arguably Inter’s outstanding performer right up until the end of the season.

Skriniar will be aiming for something similar, Tuttosport argues.

The 27-year-old now knows that he has a finite number of matches left in an Inter shirt before he switches to Paris Saint-Germain in the summer, but this hardly means that he will not want to end things on a high note.
