Inter-linked Bayern Munich defender Benjamin Pavard is becoming more and more keen to leave the Bavarian club at the end of the season.
This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInter1908, who report that the 26-year-old could push for a summer exit from the German champions even though they are keen to extend his contract past the end of June 2024.
Pavard had already been on Inter’s radar during the January transfer window as they searched for a possible immediate replacement for Milan Skriniar if the Slovakian were to be sold to Paris Saint-Germain next month.
The Nerazzurri made an effort to sign the former Stuttgart defender from Bayern, but the Bavarians declined their offer.
This does not mean that Inter’s interest in signing Pavard has dissipated, and quite the contrary, he remains a major target for the summer transfer window as they will still have to replace Skriniar.
According to the Corriere, the player is also increasingly leaning towards leaving Bavaria in the summer, partly for reasons of his family.
