Inter’s belief that midfielder Kristjan Asllani is part of the reason why the Nerazzurri would be willing to listen to offers for Marcelo Brozovic in the summer.

This according to Italian news outlet Gazzetta.it, who report that the Nerazzurri would consider making the Albanian the main backup in holding midfield behind Hakan Calhanoglu starting next season.

Currently, Asllani is some way back in the pecking order in midfield at Inter.

The 20-year-old has made several appearances both from the start and from the bench since his summer move from Empoli, but he is well behind both Brozovic and Hakan Calhanoglu who has been a real revelation in the deepest position.

However, there is no lack of belief in Asllani from the club, who anticipate that it will only be a matter of time before he develops into a high-level option in his position.

Accordingly, the Gazzetta reports, the Nerazzurri could see it as feasible to cash in on Brozovic in the summer and then keep Asllani and Brozovic as the main options in the regista position.
