Liverpool Striker Roberto Firmino Inter Milan’s Top Target If Romelu Lukaku’s Loan Not Extended, Italian Media Report

Liverpool striker Roberto Firmino would become Inter’s top target to reinforce the attack in the event that Romelu Lukaku’s loan from Chelsea is not extended.
This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who report that the Nerazzurri have lined the 31-year-old Brazilian international up as their main idea to replace Lukaku if they do not keep the Belgian on past the end of the season.
Inter are currently deciding whether or not to extend Lukaku’s loan from Chelsea.
The process is now well underway to begin talks with the Blues to try and keep the Belgian at the club on another loan deal for another season.
However, it is not yet certain that Inter will ultimately decide to keep Lukaku, or whether an agreement with Chelsea will be found.
If the Nerazzurri do not extend Lukaku’s loan, the Gazzetta, they will move for Firmino, with the former Hoffenheim striker potentially available on a free transfer if he does not extend his contract with Liverpool.
