Tottenham Hotspur are cooling their interest in signing Inter defender Alessandro Bastoni, who is currently in talks to extend his contract with the Nerazzurri.
This according to UK tabloid the Daily Mail, who report that the London-based club have turned their attention to Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi as Bastoni as well as fellow Inter defender Milan Skriniar and RB Leipzig’s Josko Gvardiol look to be unrealistic targets.
Bastoni has been a long-term target for Tottenham as they look to reinforce their defense for coach Antonio Conte, who worked with the 23-year-old whilst in charge of Inter.
However, the Nerazzurri are currently working to agree a new deal with Bastoni, and Spurs do not expect to be able to sign the Italian international.
Meanwhile, fellow Inter defender Skriniar has been targeted by Spurs, but looks to instead be headed to Paris Saint-Germain, whilst Leipzig’s Gvardiol would be unattainable.
According to the Daily Mail, Tottenham have made former Chelsea defender Guehi their main target now, with Crystal Palace set to demand €45 million for the Englishman’s signature.
