Inter wingback Robin Gosens feels that, out of all former Nerazzurri players, treble-winning strikers Diego Milito and Samuel Eto’o are the two that he’d most like to have had as teammates.

Speaking on the Recast program, via FCInterNews, the German also spoke about the comparisons that have been made between himself and legendary former Nerazzurri and Germany defender Andreas Brehme.

Inter have had no shortage of top players come through their doors over the past several decades, but the treble season of 2009-10 season certainly saw some genuine greats of the club make their names.

Milito and Eto’o had both arrived in the summer before that season, from Genoa and Barcelona respectively, and they made quite an impact.

For Gosens, the two former strikers are among the players who he would have most liked to have had the opportunity to play alongside.

Asked which Inter legends he’d like to have had as teammates, Gosens replied “I’d say Eto’o or Milito.”

“They were two very impressive players,” he went on.

“There have been quite a few at Inter, but Milito has always impressed me with how his movement inside the opposition penalty area, and I think we would have made a pretty good duo considering how many crosses I put into the area,” the German suggested.

Of former Nerazzurri great Brehme, Gosens said that “Many people have told me that we’re comparable, but I’m not sure.”

“He played the position brilliantly,” Gosens noted of the Inter legend, “he was a different player.”

“It would have been interesting to come up against him and learn from him,” the German added.
