Stuttgart defender Konstantinos Mavropanos insists that he is happy with the Bundesliga club and not thinking about his future, despite being linked with a move to Inter.

In an interview published in today’s newspaper edition of Stuttgarter Nachrichten, the Greece international refused to be drawn on speculation that the Nerazzurri will swoop for him as a replacement for Milan Skriniar, who appears set to join Paris Saint-Germain as a free agent in the summer.

“As I have already emphasised several times, my thoughts are only on Stuttgart,” the 25-year-old insisted.

“I feel very comfortable in the club and in the city, which is why I focus exclusively on football every day. I can’t say what will happen in the future. But, as we all know, things can change very quickly in professional football.”

With Skriniar refusing to sign a new contract at Inter, the Nerazzurri are in the market for a new centre-back and are set to step up their efforts to bring in a player to bolster their defensive line over the coming months.

Mavropanos joined Stuttgart from Arsenal last summer after spending two seasons on loan at Die Roten, and has made 69 appearances in all competitions. He had only featured eight times for the Gunners.
