Inter are continuing to monitor Liverpool forward Roberto Firmino and hope to secure him as a free agent in the summer, despite Reds coach Jurgen Klopp being keen to keep him.

As reported in today’s newspaper edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Brazil international is due to be out of contract at Anfield in June and is yet to agree new terms with the Premier League club, opening the door to a move elsewhere.

Klopp remains confident that a deal can be reached to keep Firmino in his squad and negotiations are ongoing, but until the 31-year-old puts pen to paper on a new contract speculation continues to mount.

Firmino’s agent, Roger Wittmann, has been touting his client to clubs across Europe and Inter are ready to consider bringing him to the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza, although they face competition from Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid.

In addition, Inter remain hopeful that Romelu Lukaku will find form in the second half of the season and justify a second season on loan from Chelsea next year.

Should Lukaku impress enough to earn another season with Inter, a move for Firmino will not be viable due to the financial constraints of having both forwards.
