Inter have put contingency plans in place should they not sign Raoul Bellanova outright next summer, with Spezia’s Emil Holm a prime target.

As reported in today’s newspaper edition of Tuttosport, the Nerazzurri may yet decide against triggering the buyout clause in Bellanova’s loan deal from Cagliari, set at €7 million.

Bellanova has only made one league start for Inter this season and the club are keen to negotiate a discount if they are to retain him next term.

Should they fail to reach an agreement for him, they will instead target Holm for the right wingback position, after the Swede’s impressive campaign in Serie A.

Inter will continue to monitor Holm over the coming months with a view to an approach in the summer, should Bellanova not remain with them, whilst Club Brugges’ Canada international Tajon Buchanan is also touted as an alternative.

Holm joined Spezia from Danish club SønderjyskE in 2021 and has already earned two caps for Sweden.
