The future of Raoul Bellanova is far from certain, with Inter unwilling to commit to an agreed €7 million to sign him outright from Cagliari this summer.

As reported in today’s newspaper edition of Tuttosport, the 22-year-old has not made the impact that had been hoped when Inter secured him on loan from the Sardinian club last year, and he has only made one league start for the Nerazzurri this season.

Inter have the option to buy the wingback on a permanent deal for €7m at the end of the campaign, but it is reported that they are unlikely to trigger this unless Cagliari agree to reduce this figure.

The Nerazzurri are set to open negotiations with the Serie B club to try to persuade them to lower the arranged fee, having already spent €4m on a loan fee last year.

With only 13 appearances in total in all competitions this term, Bellanova may now be sent back to Cagliari unless a discount is agreed.
