Inter would consider selling midfielder Marcelo Brozovic in the summer transfer window, but not likely as part of a swap deal involving Barcelona’s Franck Kessie.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who report that the Nerazzurri’s concerns about the 30-year-old’s fitness could see him leave in the summer, even if not as part of a swap deal involving Kessie.

Brozovic’s name had been linked with a possible January transfer, as Italian and Spanish media suggested that there had been talks between Inter and Barcelona regarding a prospective swap deal with Barcelona’s Kessie.

Any transfer of this nature never came to pass, and according to the Gazzetta, it is unlikely that it would in the upcoming summer transfer window.

However, given that there have been some concerns within the Nerazzurri regarding Brozovic’s lengthy recovery periods from a couple injuries this season, the Gazzetta report that the club would seriously consider selling him during the summer window as they aim to bring in a net profit.
