Italian journalist Fabrizio Biasin believes that Inter midfielder Nicolo Barella must improve his attitude on the pitch, but that he still remains a vital player to the Nerazzurri.

Tweeting after the 26-year-old was involved in an incident which saw striker Romelu Lukaku call him out for negative body language during a Serie A draw against Sampdoria, Biasin gave his reaction to the incident.

Barella has never been a player who hides his feelings whilst he plays, and the former Cagliari midfielder has developed a reputation for intense body language, both positive and especially negative.

The 26-year-old can sometimes react with intense frustration to mistakes from teammates, and Lukaku clearly did not appreciate this during the match against Sampdoria.

The Belgian gestured back at his teammate and shouted at him to tell him to cut out the negative gestures.

Biasin feels that it’s true that Barella must stop waving his arms in frustration as he does, but also that he remains an important influence on the pitch.

He tweeted, “There are three personal considerations with Barella: He must learn to control himself on the pitch, I’d still want a team of eleven Barellas, and Forza Barella.”
