The world of football has been unanimous in its response of support for the victims of the earthquake that affected Turkey and Syria, perhaps no one more so than players from the affected areas.
Inter midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu is captain of the Turkish national team, and has expressed his sadness at the devastation that has hit his come country as a result of the earthquake.
The Nerazzurri midfielder posted a message of support on his Instagram account, including a picture in a warm-up shirt with the message “Pray for Turkiye.”
His post reads, “Painful days. Thanks to our fans for standing with us.”
