Inter-owned striker Sebastiano Esposito is hoping that he can put his reputation as a player with behavioural issues behind him and prove himself on the pitch at Bari.

Speaking to Bari’s official social media channel, via FCInterNews, the 20-year-old explained that he feels that he has been given a “problem player” tag that isn’t fair to him, and is eager to prove himself on loan with the Puglian club.

Over the course of loan spells at Basel and Anderlecht particularly, there have been reports of some issues off the pitch involving Esposito.

The Nerazzurri-owned striker has been involved in disagreements with coaching staff which have led some to view the player as a disruptive influence.

For his part, Esposito is keen to prove these notions wrong, and also to show what he can contribute on the pitch.

The 20-year-old striker feels that he is in Bari so that he can become known for his value on the pitch and not for his antics off of it.

“I’m hungry to succeed now that I’ve come here,” the striker said.

“I can assure you that I have an intense desire to do well.”

Esposito explained that “I’ve had this label falsely created around me, and I’m here at Bari because I want to prove it wrong.”
