Inter’s directors have stressed to the squad that they have to put any hard feelings accrued in the team’s draw against Sampdoria earlier this week behind them as soon as possible, as there is no room for morale to be lowered.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper La Repubblica, via FCInterNews, who report that the Nerazzurri directors have spoken to the squad yesterday, with a key theme being not dwelling on the frustration of Monday’s match at the Marassi.

Inter not only dropped points against Sampdoria in Monday’s Serie A draw, but there was also a sense that the team’s mood was a bad one.

Nowhere was this more obvious than in the spat between striker Romelu Lukaku and midfielder Nicolo Barella, who lost their tempers with one another over the midfielder’s negative body language.

This was addressed by the directors, who will not fine either of the duo, and their message to the entire squad was to simply put it all in the past as new matches and opportunities to get back on track are already on the way starting with Saturday’s clash with Udinese.
