Inter target Caglar Soyuncu could prove to be difficult to sign from Leicester City, as the Turkish international has already signed a pre-contract agreement with La Liga giants Atletico Madrid.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via L’Interista, who report that the Colchoneros have an agreement with the 26-year-old although they failed to get a deal done to sign him during the January transfer window.

Soyuncu is one of the players who Inter are looking at as a potential replacement for Milan Skriniar on the right side of their defense.

The former Freiburg defender has been on Nerazzurri CEO Piero Ausilio’s radar in particular for some time, and the fact that he is available on a free transfer at the end of the season when his contract with Leicester expires could make him even more attractive.

However, Atletico have also been aware of Soyuncu’s situation.

The club from the Spanish capital had even tried to sign Soyuncu in January but could not get a deal done with Leicester, although they did sign a pre-contract agreement with the player for a deal until the end of June 2028.
