Inter would be ready to listen to offers for midfielder Marcelo Brozovic during the summer transfer window.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who report that the Nerazzurri are prepared to sell the 30-year-old for several reasons, and that a number of big European clubs are interested.

Despite the fact that Brozovic had seemed completely indispensable to Inter just a few months ago, the fact that the team have coped better than expected in his absence this season means that the Nerazzurri could see him as a player to cash in on.

Given the club’s ongoing financial problems, there is a temptation to cash in on the Croat who is no longer seen as irreplaceable given the outstanding form of Hakan Calhanoglu in deep midfield this season.

Meanwhile, the Gazzetta reports, the Nerazzurri have also been frustrated with some of the ways that Brozovic has managed his fitness and injuries, particularly before and after the World Cup.

The 30-year-old was virtually ever-present for the Croatian national team in Qatar, but has barely featured for Inter since September, and this has been a source of frustration for the Nerazzurri.
