Italian journalist Fabrizio Biasin believes that the question of whether or not Romelu Lukaku stays at Inter past the end of the season will come down to whether or not he can start getting on the scoresheet.

Tweeting about the matter, the journalist reacted to the fact that the Belgian’s future is seemingly up for constant speculation, and suggested that it is a “puzzle” with a simple solution, based on whether or not the player can start scoring again.

It is still far from clear whether or not Inter will decide to extend Lukaku’s loan from Chelsea past the end of the season.

Reports have suggested that the Nerazzurri are willing to do so if the 29-year-old is to show form over the rest of the season, but that they are starting to lose a bit of patience.

For Biasin, the matter comes down to whether Lukaku can start scoring.

“They say that the future of Lukaku is a puzzle,” he tweeted.

“If he’s scoring, he stays, if he’s not, he doesn’t.”

“The solution to the puzzle is simple.”
