Tottenham Hotspur and former Inter wingback Ivan Perisic still feels that his time at the Nerazzurri and the accomplishment of winning the Serie A title is still something that will stick with him a long time.

Speaking to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia after Spurs’ Champions League loss to AC Milan, via FCInterNews, the 34-year-old looked back on his time at Inter player, focusing on the last couple years that saw him win some important silverware.

Perisic had a fairly lengthy stint at Inter after joining from Wolfsburg in the summer of 2015.

Arguably the two best years came in the Croat’s final two seasons at the club, when he came back from a season on loan at Bayern Munich and converted his style of play to becoming a wingback.

Playing under Antonio Conte and then Simone Inzaghi, Perisic won the Serie A title, the Supercoppa Italiana, and the Coppa Italia, before reuniting with Conte in North London this season.

Of the impact Conte has had on him, the 34-year-old said that “Everyone knows how he works.”

“He was excellent as a player, and now he’s excellent as a coach,” he continued.

Perisic said of the coach that “I learned a lot from him, we won the Scudetto together, which was a fantastic fantastic that I’ll never forget.”
