Inter coach Simone Inzaghi has turned the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza into a fortress and it will be required ahead of crucial home matches against Udinese and Porto.

As reported in today’s newspaper edition of Corriere dello Sport, the Nerazzurri have been dominant on home soil since Inzaghi took over from Antonio Conte in the summer of 2021, with no other team in Serie A able to match their 23 victories and the 72 league points amassed.

Meanwhile, they have the meanest home defence in Serie A this season, with the five goals conceded at the San Siro level with Roma’s record at the Stadio Olimpico, but from one game more than the 10 that the Giallorossi have played.

Having been held to a goalless draw against Sampdoria on Monday, there is need to get the league campaign back on track with victory over Udinese this evening, whilst Wednesday’s Champions League clash against Porto is deemed pivotal to Inter’s season.

Should the Nerazzurri maintain a clean sheet today, they would complete a fourth consecutive shut out and break their record for not conceding under Inzaghi, currently standing at 439 minutes.
