Inter midfielder Marcelo Brozovic is set to return to the starting line-up for this evening’s Serie A clash against Udinese at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza.

As reported in today’s newspaper edition of Tuttosport, the Croatia international will take up the deep-lying midfield role against the Zebrette, alongside Nicolo Barella and Hakan Calhanoglu.

Brozovic has suffered with injuries this season, having been ruled out for almost 50 days earlier in the season when picking up a thigh injury during Croatia’s UEFA Nations League match against Denmark in September.

The 30-year-old returned to the squad in the final weeks before the World Cup break in November, but picked up another knock during his country’s 3-0 defeat to Argentina in the semi-final of the competition.

However, Brozovic has now returned to full fitness and will slot back into the starting line-up, where he will be joined by centre-back Stefan De Vrij, and the returning wingback Denzel Dumfries.

It is reported that Edin Dzeko will also start the match in attack, partnering Romelu Lukaku.
