Upon his returning to the starting line-up, Inter goalkeeper Samir Handanovic did not impress Italian media during the 3-1 win over Udinese in Serie A yesterday.

As reported by L’Interista.it, the veteran struggled against his former club in his first appearance for Inter since losing his place to Andre Onana in October, and Italian media outlets were critical of him.

La Gazzetta dello Sport blamed him for Udinese’s goal and felt that his long spell on the sidelines had shown, as they scored him at 5.5 in their player ratings, whilst they also pointed out a mix-up with Alessandro Bastoni in the second half.

L’Interista also gave him a 5.5 and suggested that he was unprepared and slow to react to a shot from Sandi Lovric, allowing the Zebrette to equalise.

However, Tuttosport, Corriere dello Sport, and Tuttomercatoweb were less critical of the 38-year-old Slovene, with all three outlets grading him at a 6 for his performance.
