Inter striker Lautaro Martinez quickly put a poor miss behind him to wrap up the win in a 3-1 victory over Udinese in Serie A yesterday.

As reported in today’s newspaper edition of Corriere dello Sport, the Argentina international made a positive impact from the bench after being introduced for Romelu Lukaku in the second half, and scored the final goal in stoppage time with an excellent finish.

It came shortly after he had squandered a fine opportunity, and he was praised for his resilience as the newspaper awarded him a 6.5 in their player ratings.

Fellow substitute Hakan Calhanoglu also impressed and was influential in turning a 1-1 draw into a 3-1 win, as he received a 6.5, but striker Romelu Lukaku was only given a 6 after a mixed display.

The man of the match was considered to be Henrikh Mkhitaryan, with a well-taken goal capping an excellent performance from midfield, and he was awarded a 7.5.
