Inter could stand to earn nearly €70 million in revenues from UEFA for their participation in the Champions League if they are to reach the quarterfinal stage of the competition.
This according to Italian football finance news outlet Calcio e Finanza, who report that the total earnings from UEFA would rise to €68.5 million if the Nerazzurri advance to the next round, before either the fine for Financial Fair Play violations or the additional revenues from gate receipts.
Inter have already guaranteed earnings of €58 million before the FFP-related fine from UEFA for participation in the Champions League by reaching the round of sixteen.
If the Nerazzurri are to advance to the quarterfinals against Porto, this would rise to €68.5 million.
The fine imposed for FFP violations would be deducted from this amount, although as Calcio e Finanza note, the Nerazzurri could potentially bring in a record-breaking gate receipt from a Champions League quarterfinal match held at San Siro as well.
