Inter midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan has grown and matured as a player over a long career, and he is showing no signs of slowing down.

This is highlighted in today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews, who note how the 34-year-old has proven himself just as vital a player as ever with the Nerazzurri, and cemented his status as an icon in his home country.

Mkhitaryan had already had a long and decorated career before coming to Inter.

The Armenian had shone for the likes of Shakhtar Donetsk, Borussia Dortmund, Manchester United, and Arsenal, before coming to Serie A where he proved his quality across three seasons at Roma.

Mkhitaryan’s versatility has always been one of his best qualities, and it was at the Giallorossi where he really started to show that he could function very well as a central midfielder rather than a more attack-minded one.

This is a stylistic trend that has continued at Inter, where the 34-year-old always seems to be at the heart of the action, and he has made himself virtually impossible to drop from the starting eleven at this moment in time.
