Inter midfielder Marcelo Brozovic is likely to start on the bench in the Nerazzurri’s Champions League round of sixteen first leg match against Porto later this week.
This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews, who report that the 30-year-old will be left out of the starting eleven for Wednesday evening’s match as the trio of Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Nicolo Barella, and Hakan Calhanoglu will likely start.
Brozovic was back in Inter’s starting eleven for the first time in five months in Saturday evening’s Serie A win over Udinese.
The Croat was able to give Hakan Calhanoglu a breather, with the Turk having taken up his role at the base of the midfield trio whilst Brozovic was absent.
However, according to Tuttosport, Calhanoglu will return to his usual role from the last few months, whilst Mkhitaryan is likely to be fit to start on the left of midfield.
