Inter are getting very close to being ready to announce the official contract extension of midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu until the end of June 2026.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews, who report that the Nerazzurri have recently come to a complete agreement on terms for a new deal with the Turk and his representatives, and that only the signatures and announcement remain.

Inter Sporting Director Piero Ausilio recently made remarks suggesting that the Nerazzurri are getting very close to a positive conclusion to at least one round of contract extension negotiations.

According to Tuttosport, Calhanoglu was the player who the Nerazzurri executive was referring to.

According to the newspaper, Ausilio has reason to be confident when it comes to contract extension negotiations with Calhanoglu.

Tuttosport report that in the past couple days, Inter have agreed terms completely with the 29-year-old former AC Milan midfielder on an extension of his contract, which currently runs out at the end of June 2024, which would take him until the end of June 2026.
