Inter can count on a number of players in their squad with experience at not just the Champions League round of sixteen stage from last season against Porto this season, but also on several players who know what it’s like to play in the quarterfinals.

This is highlighted in today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews, who note that five players in Inter’s squad have played in the last eight of Europe’s competition, whilst Matteo Darmian has been in teams that have reached that far although never played.

Inter striker Romelu Lukaku has made it to the Champions League quarterfinals with Manchester United, whilst Edin Dzeko has gone as far as the semifinals with Roma.

Andre Onana has also made it to the semifinals, with Ajax, and Henrikh Mkhitaryan has reached that stage with both Borussia Dortmund and Shakhtar Donetsk.

Lastly, Tuttosport note, Robin Gosens was part of the Atalanta team that reached the quarterfinals of the Champions League in 2020.
