Further contacts have taken place between Inter and the agent of Barcelona midfielder Franck Kessie, as all signs seem to point in the direction of a possible move to the Nerazzurri for the Ivorian.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who report that the Nerazzurri have spoken with the former AC Milan midfielder’s agent George Atangana in recent days and are looking to find the right structure for a deal.

Kessie has long been an Inter target, and despite the transfer rumours that emerged in January linking him to the club coming to nothing, the Corriere reports that the interest between the parties is persisting.

According to the newspaper, the player would like a return to Serie A to play for his former club the Rossoneri’s city rivals.

One possibility that could make a transfer for Kessie to Inter possible would be for the 26-year-old to join on an initial loan deal, with Barcelona covering part of his €6.5 million net per season wages.

Another would be for interest in a mooted swap deal involving Inter midfielder Marcelo Brozovic to be revived, something that Blaugranas coach Xavi would certainly be interested in.
