Inter midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan is under no illusions about the difficulty that will be presented by facing Porto in the second leg of their Champions League round of sixteen tie, but expects to fight for the result.

Speaking to InterTV, via FCInterNews, the Armenian gave his thoughts as the Nerazzurri head into the second leg of the tie in Portugal with a slender advantage following their 1-0 win at the San Siro yesterday evening.

The job is anything but done for Inter following yesterday’s result, as their win on the night could be cancelled out entirely in an incident in the second leg.

However, for his part, Mkhitaryan expects the team to arrive at the second leg ready to do everything to get the result, and he is not lacking confidence.

The Nerazzurri will need to produce a similar performance to the one which they did yesterday evening, but Mkhitaryan is hopeful.

“We were playing against a team with a lot of experience in the Champions League,” he noted.

“They showed that they came here to win too, but we showed that we’ll fight until the end and we want to win this two-legged tie.”
