Inter striker Lautaro Martinez showed some signs of nerves in front of goal as he failed to get on the scoresheet in the Champions League at the San Siro yet again against Porto yesterday evening.

This is the view in today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews, who note that the 25-yeear-old’s less-than-clinical performance took him to 1,218 days since he last scored at home in Europe’s top club competition.

Martinez had one of Inter’s best chances of the first half as he got on the end of a perfect cross from Federico Dimarco, but the Argentine completely miscued his free header.

Afterwards, Martinez never quite looked up to the pace in the decisive moments, as he never arrived on the end of any telling chances.

As Tuttosport highlights, the last time that Martinez has scored for Inter at the San Siro in the Champions League came in a group stage match against Borussia Dortmund in October of 2019, and now his wait will have to go on at least a little longer.
