Inter striker Lautaro Martinez has emerged as the most important player in the team this season and his status at the club is untouchable.

As reported in today’s newspaper edition of Corriere dello Sport, the Argentina international had previously been considered expendable, with Inter ready to cash in on him should they receive a suitable offer.

However, the club have no intention of parting with Martinez anymore, and he is completely settled at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza and in the city of Milan, where his daughter was born recently, whilst he has opened a restaurant there.

Martinez is not averse to a move to La Liga in Spain at some point but is not ready to leave Inter yet, whilst the riches of the Premier League are not thought to be enough to lure him to England.

The 25-year-old has a long contract and has been given the duty of being captain in recent games, highlighting his importance to Inter, whilst his return since winning the World Cup with Argentina in December has seen him score almost a goal per game.
