Inter midfielder Nicolo Barella has emerged as a transfer target for Premier League club Liverpool, as they seek to rebuild next season.

As reported in today’s newspaper edition of Corriere dello Sport, Reds coach Jurgen Klopp is keen to bring the Italian international to Anfield in the summer, as Liverpool look to put a difficult domestic campaign behind them.

Despite their financial constraints, Inter have no interest in parting with Barella though and it would take in excess of €70 million for them to consider accepting a sale.

Inter are focusing on raising funds through the sale of wingback Denzel Dumfries instead and hope to offload the Netherlands international to the Premier League.

Meanwhile, the Nerazzurri themselves are targeting Barcelona’s former AC Milan midfielder Franck Kessie and could offer Marcelo Brozovic in exchange to secure the Ivorian.

Brozovic is falling out of favour at the Nerazzurri this season and is being viewed as a potential means of reducing the asking price for Kessie, who is keen to return to the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza.

Alternatively, Inter will attempt to bring Kessie back to Serie A on loan, whilst paying a significant portion of his wages.
