Inter will consider qualifying for the Champions League next season as vital for getting the best possible deal they can in talks with potential new main shirt sponsors.
This is highlighted in today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInter1908, who note that the Nerazzurri are targeting a new agreement worth around €30 million per season.
Inter are certainly set to replace DigitalBits as their main shirt sponsor starting next season, although it is not clear with whom.
Some negotiations have been ongoing, with the club considering the possibility of a company from the US or the Middle East to be ideal in terms of getting the largest possible deal.
However, any prospective sponsor would certainly be less inclined to offer an amount close to what the Nerazzurri want if the club are not in the Champions League next season.
Accordingly, securing top four in Serie A will be vital for this aim among others.
