Liverpool coach Juergen Klopp could be a sensational option to replace Simone Inzaghi as Inter coach if the current coach were to leave, but would only be pursued if the Nerazzurri were to be taken over by new owners.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper La Stampa, via FCInter1908, who report that more realistic option would be Bologna’s Thiago Motta, but claim that Klopp or Brighton and Hove Albion’s Roberto De Zerbi could be alternatives in the event of a change behind the scenes.

Whilst current Inter coach Inzaghi’s future is not under immediate threat, the sense is that the 46-year-old would be in real danger of being sacked in the event that the Nerazzurri were to miss out on top four for next season.

According to La Stampa, former Inter midfielder Motta could be targeted to take over from Inzaghi.

However, the newspaper suggests, if the Nerazzurri were to be taken over by a US-based fund, then they could look to the Premier League, and even to Champions League winner Klopp whose own future at Liverpool is in some doubt based on this season’s results.
