Atalanta are set to demand at least €25-30 million for defender Merih Demiral during the summer transfer window, with Inter considering the 24-year-old as a possible replacement for Milan Skriniar.

This according to Italian news outlet Gazzetta.it, who report that the Turkish international would likely be the most expensive of the possible targets to replace Skriniar apart from his teammate Giorgio Scalvini, and that La Dea would want a permanent sale or at least a loan with a purchase obligation.

Inter had already targeted Atalanta defender Demiral as a possible January signing, in the event that Skriniar were to have departed from the club last month.

Skriniar ended up staying until the end of the season, but the Nerazzurri will still be looking for a replacement for the Slovakian defender in June.

Demiral remains on Inter’s radar in this sense, but according to the Gazzetta he would not come cheap.

Atalanta would want €25-30 million for the former Juventus and Sassuolo defender, whilst the fact that his contract runs until the end of June 2026 means that they would hold all the cards in negotiations.
