Inter Milan Corporate CEO Alessandro Antonello has confirmed that there are advanced talks towards finding a new main shirt sponsor to replace DigitalBits next season.
Speaking outside the ECA meeting in Milan, as reported by FCInterNews, the Nerazzurri executive was confident that a new sponsor will be found by the start of next campaign, whilst he also stated that the team still believe that the Serie A title is a possibility.
Inter’s search for a new sponsor to replace DigitalBits is in full swing.
The Nerazzurri have been reported to be in talks with a few different prospective new partners, although as of yet no one candidate has truly come to the fore.
According to Inter Corporate CEO Antonello, there is not yet a decisive development, although from his perspective the process is moving along at the necessary pace.
“There’s no news,” he said when asked about the search for a new main shirt sponsor.
“The club is very busy looking for new commercial partners.”
“We’re in advanced talks on a number of subjects, these are negotiations that need time but we’re confident that we’ll have a new shirt sponsor for next season,” Antonello said.
The Nerazzurri Corporate CEO said of the team’s season that “We’re second in the table and we have a competitive squad.”
“We have our minimum targets, but we can always dream of something more ambitious,” he added referring to the possibility of the Serie A title.
“Having said that, we also have the match against Porto in the Champions League coming up, which is fundamentally important for us, we have to reach it at our best by also keeping our focus on the league.”
“There are a lot of important matches on the way for us,” Antonello added.
Asked whether he feels that the Super League project is dead or still a possibility on the table, the Nerazzurri executive replied that “The Super League and A22 still have to await the ruling to come down from the European Commission.”
“Only then will we be able to understand the future of the project in a legal sense,” Antonello added.
“For now, we’re awaiting developments.”
