The agent of Inter striker Lautaro Martinez feels that there would be no chance of the player leaving the Nerazzurri any time soon.

Speaking to Italian news outlet Calciomercato.it, Martinez’s agent Alejandro Camano made clear that the 25-year-old feels that Inter are the club where he belongs, and that even when the team run into poor form his only priority is to stay and do his part.

Given his quality and scoring record in recent seasons, it is little surprise that Martinez has been a player often linked with transfer interest.

However, for his part, the Argentine has always publicly affirmed his loyalty to the Nerazzurri, whilst the player’s agent Camano has also made the same thing clear on several occasions.

In recent matches, Martinez has often been the one wearing the captain’s armband for Inter, and he has been tipped as a future full-time captain of the club.

“Lautaro is a very serious professional, he’s a leader and he feels devoted to the Inter cause every day, even just in his everyday life,” Camano said.

“When he speaks he wants to take responsibility, he wants to wear this shirt, and when he doesn’t succeed, it upsets him,” the agent continued.

Of the player’s future at Inter, Camano said that “He has a contract with Inter that still has several years left to run on it, and he doesn’t just play for results and to win trophies, he wants to give something to the team.”

“His staying here will be based on how happy he is at the Nerazzurri,” the agent said of Martinez.

“Whether Inter win the Scudetto or not, play in the Champions League or not, his feelings don’t change.”

“I repeat, he still has a long contract here, there’s no chance that he’ll leave,” Camano made crystal-clear, denying the notion that Martinez could leave if Inter miss out on the Champions League.

“He feels a strong sense that this is where he belongs, which is very important for him, maybe in the future there will be offers that both Lautaro and Inter are satisfied with,” the agent added.

“But for the moment that’s not the case, and we’re only thinking about Inter,” he emphasized.
