The links between Inter and Bologna coach Thiago Motta have become increasingly concrete.
This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Libero, via FCInter1908, who report that in the event that the Nerazzurri were to miss out on the top four in Serie A, the Bologna coach would be one of the first names on the Nerazzurri’s list.
At the moment, Simone Inzaghi’s position as Inter coach is not under that much threat.
However, if the coach were to fail to guide the team to the Champions League for next season, things could change.
Given the importance of the revenues from participation in Europe’s top club competition next season, missing out would hardly be tolerated.
As such, Libero report, the Nerazzurri would in all likelihood go in search of a new coach in the event that Inzaghi failed to hit the minimum target for the season.
The newspaper report that if this were to be the case, the links with current Bologna coach and former Nerazzurri and Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Motta are very serious.
