Inter coach Simone Inzaghi made clear to his players that there can be no more excuses for performances like the one that saw the team fall to their seventh Serie A defeat of the season against Bologna on Sunday.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who report that the coach stressed the need for focus, competitive tension, and a positive attitude in his speech to the squad in yesterday’s training session.

Inter’s squad made their return to training yesterday after a scheduled day off to rest on Monday.

The Nerazzurri came back having a difficult defeat away to Bologna to digest, and this was the central theme of coach Inzaghi’s team talk.

Apart from the tactical analysis of the match against the Rossoblu, the coach also didn’t hold back in talking about what he saw as faults in the team’s attitude.

Inzaghi made clear that he does not want to see a primadonna attitude from any of his players, and that they must find ways to grit their way through matches like the one at the Stadio Renato Dall’Ara, as he wants the performances to be worthy of the Inter crest from now on.
