Inter and Atalanta have held new talks regarding a possible transfer for 19-year-old defender Giorgio Scalvini.
This according to Italian news outlet Repubblica.it, who report that the Nerazzurri have made another approach to La Dea regarding Scalvini’s future, although the €45 million price tag attached to the defender would make a move difficult.
Scalvini remains a player who Inter would view as an ideal replacement for Milan Skriniar with the Slovakian set to leave in the summer on a free transfer.
According to Repubblica, Atalanta will not budge on their €45 million evaluation of the 19-year-old.
However, Inter are still hoping to find a way to find Scalvini, and want to keep the channels with the defender’s club very open.
Accordingly, Repubblica reports, the Nerazzurri have recently made further contacts with Atalanta where they have continued to register their interest in signing the 19-year-old, potentially as early as during the summer transfer window.
