Inter’s new stadium plans are very much in limbo as they await AC Milan’s final decision on whether or not to decisively abandon the project of building jointly in place of the San Siro.

This according to the online edition of Italian business newspaper Il Sole 24 Ore, who report that the final decision from the Rossoneri should arrive by the end of March, and that the Nerazzurri are between staying at the existing San Siro and seeking out a Plan B.

Milan look to be close to making a decisive break from the plans to build a new stadium together with Inter in place of the existing San Siro.

The Rossoneri have not yet made a final decision one way or another, however.

According to Il Sole 24 Ore, that decision will arrive within the next couple weeks, however, by the end of the current month.

Milan’s intention, the newspaper reports, is shifting to building in the Hippodrome of San Siro area adjacent to the existing stadium.

Should Milan settle on this decision, it would leave their city rivals the Nerazzurri with the decision to either stay at the San Siro, continuing to pay the rent of just under €10 million on their own rather than jointly with their city rivals, or following the Rossoneri and building on their own.

According to Il Sole 24 Ore, there is not yet a clear and defined Plan B from Inter, and they would have to develop one.
