Inter are set to offer defender Alessandro Bastoni a contract extension until the end of June 2027 which would see him earn €5 million net per season.
This according to Italian news outlet Gazzetta.it, who report that extending the 23-year-old’s deal, which currently expires at the end of June 2024, is a priority for the Nerazzurri, and that the next meeting should take place after the second leg of the Champions League round of sixteen tie against Porto.
As things stand, Bastoni’s contract runs out at the end of next season.
However, the Nerazzurri want to build around the former Atalanta and Parma defender, and aim to extend his deal beyond this.
According to the Gazzetta, Bastoni and his representatives are seeking a deal worth €5.5 million net per season plus add-ons, whilst Inter are ready to offer €5 million net per season.
The Nerazzurri will meet with Bastoni’s agent Tulio Tinti not long after the team’s match away to Porto in the Champions League, and will aim to move the negotiations along.
