Italian journalist Marco Barzaghi expects that Lille defender Tiago Djalo is still the first name on Inter’s list to replace Milan Skriniar during the summer transfer window.

Reporting in a video on his YouTube channel, Barzaghi also explained that Borussia Monchengladbach striker Marcus Thuram continues to be very much on the Nerazzurri’s radar as a possible free transfer opportunity for the summer transfer window.

Lille defender Djalo has been linked with Inter for a little while now.

The Portuguese international was one of the names that has come up as a potential target to replace Skriniar once it became clear that the Slovakian will be leaving the Nerazzurri at the end of the season.

According to Italian journalist Barzaghi, the 22-year-old, whose current contract runs out at the end of June 2024, is indeed a player who the Nerazzurri are keen on to replace Skriniar.

“For the future, Inter are looking to seize on some free transfer opportunities,” the journalist explained.

“Thuram remains one of the major ones,” he continued.

“Apart from that,” Barzaghi added, “Djalo is the favourite for the defense, and would be seen as an ideal replacement for Skriniar.”
