Inter’s sense of regret at failing to sign forward Paulo Dybala on a free transfer last summer will only be growing with each passing day.

This is the view in today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews, who suggest that the 29-year-old would be precisely the kind of player that the Nerazzurri are in need of now.

Inter had been heavily linked with Dybala for a good part of last summer.

The Nerazzurri had been in talks to sign the Argentine on a free transfer from Juventus, but in the end prioritized a deal to bring back Romelu Lukaku, and Dybala instead joined Roma.

The 29-year-old has more or less given the Giallorossi what was expected from him with his performances this season, as he has proven to be the creative spark all campaign.

Dybala’s dribbling and invention in tight spaces would have been exactly the sort of quality that Inter are now missing, and so for Tuttosport, the Nerazzurri will be surely wondering whether they made a mistake by not getting a deal for the Argentine over the line.
