Inter are set to make signing a defender a priority during the summer transfer window, with Atalanta defender Giorgio Scalvini their top target but numerous others lined up.
This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews, who report that the likes of Lille’s Tiago Djalo, Red Bull Salzburg’s Oumar Solet, and Bayern Munich’s Benjamin Pavard are also on the Nerazzurri’s list of possible targets.
The fact that Milan Skriniar is set to leave Inter at the end of the season when his contract expires has meant that signing a defender is a priority for the club.
A player capable of playing on the right side of a back three is being sought, and the club want to find an option who can fill in directly for Skriniar in terms of quality and readiness.
Atalanta defender Scalvini is seen as the dream target by the Nerazzurri, although the 19-year-old is set to cost €40 million at the very least, which could make him difficult to sign.
For this reason, Tuttosport, all of Djalo, Solet, and Pavard are also being looked at.
